Welcome to the 19th lesson, a slow and tacwid reading of the Holy Quran for beginners. May God grant us the benefit of it and may He not deviate us from the path of the Holy Quran and our Prophet. SURA AL-BAQARAH 127-134 INTERPRETATION | SURA AL-BAQARAH And when Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the House (Kaaba), saying, "Our Lord! Accept it from us! Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing." ﴾127﴿ "Our Lord! Make us submissive to You and from our descendants a community submissive to You and show us the places of worship and their rules and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Acceptor of repentance, the Merciful." ﴾128﴿ Our Lord, raise up among them a messenger from among themselves, to recite to them Your verses, to teach them the Book and wisdom, and to purify them from all evil. Indeed, You are the Possessor of Might, the Wise. ﴾129﴿ And who would forsake the religion of Abraham except he who does not know? And We certainly chose Abraham in this world, and indeed in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous. ﴾130﴿ And when his Lord said to him, “Submit,” he said, “I have submitted to the Lord of the Worlds.” ﴾131﴿ And Abraham enjoined this upon his sons, and so did Jacob: “O my sons, Allah has chosen this religion for you, and die only as Muslims.” ﴾132﴿ Or were you like Jacob, when he was on his deathbed, when he said to his sons, “Who will you worship after Me?” Were you present when they said, "We will worship Your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac, one God; we are Muslims submissive to Him"? ﴾133﴿ They are a nation that has passed away. Theirs is what they earned, and yours is what you earned. And you will not be held accountable for what they did. ﴾134﴿ SURAH AL-BAQARAH 127-134 AYAH VERSE 127. And remember Abraham and Ismail raised the foundations of the House (With this prayer): "Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For You have the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. 128. "Our Lord! Make of us Muslims, bowing to Your Will, and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Your Will; and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. 129. "Our Lord! send among them a Messenger of their own, who shall rehearse Thy Signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify them: For Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise." 130. And who turns away from the religion of Abraham but such as debase their souls with folly? Him We chose and rendered pure in this world: And he will be in the Hereafter in the ranks of the Righteous. 131. Behold! his Lord said to him: "Bow (thy will to Me):" He said: "I bow (my will) to the Lord and Cherisher of the Universe."
