Syria on the brink as military offensive against rebels feared in Idlib

There is a fear more bloodshed is coming in Syria, as President Bashar al-Assad and allies have massed forces near the last rebel-held areas in Idlib province. The fate of the insurgent stronghold will be discussed at a summit in Tehran on Friday between the leaders of Assad's supporters Russia and Iran, and the rebels' ally, Turkey.
