Heaven Dust 2 Helicopter Bug and Final Boss Fight

I encounter a potentially game breaking bug with the helicopter that appears as soon as you enter the landing pad and bombs the shit out of you. There's no way to avoid it, I must be doing something wrong but don't know what.
