Paul Revere's Famous Midnight Ride - Travels With Phil

Paul Revere's Famous Ride. The British Army was looking for rebel leaders Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and a stockpile of weapons. On April 18, 1775, Revere rode from Boston to warn the patriots of the oncoming British Army. This video looks at where Revere started, and how far he got. It included videos and photos of Revere's home, old North Church, and where he was captured by the British between Lexington and Concord. It also talks a little bit about two other riders: William Dawes and Samuel Prescott. Interesting tidbit: according to records of the time, Revere did not yell out "The British are coming". He actually said, "The regulars are coming out!" - Travels with Phil copyrighted by Phil Konstantin ------ You can see all my photos of the area through this link: 1. http://travelswithphil.com/verybigpho... - 2. http://travelswithphil.com/verybigpho... - 3. http://travelswithphil.com/verybigpho... - ------ You can subscribe to my YouTube Channel at this link ----- https://www.youtube.com/user/cherokee... ----- Music Credit: Music Credit: United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps - Public Domain - United_States_National_Anthem = Reveille_VariationDrum_CallSlow_ScotchQuick_ScotchYankee_DoodleMontage = US_Army_Song = Soldiers_Farewell_FanfareMontezumaMarch_of_WarWindsor_Par ----- Photo Credit (other than my own): Old North Church - Google Maps = = Paul Revere Capture Site - Google Maps = = Paul Revere Capture Site - Google Maps.png = = paul-reveres-ride-map-NPS-PD = = J_S_Copley_-_Paul_Revere-PD = = MIMAmap2 = = ONC-Web_3-NPS-PD = = Paul_Revere's_ride-NatArchives-PD = = PaulRevereByGilbertStuart-Wikipedia-PD = = William-Dawes-oil-painting-by-John-Johnston-circa-1785-95-Wikipedia-PD ----- Interesting website to learn more: https://www.nps.gov/MIMA = = https://www.nps.gov/mima/learn/educat... = = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Re... = = http://www.revolutionary-war-and-beyo... = = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Re... = = https://www.poets.org/poetsorg/poem/p... = = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Nor... = =
