Before this intervention, the doctor-in-charge shares a heart-wrenching reality: many newborn babies were dying from simple, preventable causes because staff lacked the skills to act quickly during the "Golden Minute." The results of the training are nothing short of miraculous: Mbekenyera Health Center has gone from experiencing regular infant deaths to having ZERO baby deaths due to simple causes since the program's implementation. This powerful data proves that equipping frontline health workers with the right skills and action plans is the most effective way to address neonatal mortality in resource-limited settings in Tanzania.
