If you have any scenarios you’d like me to try, feel free to comment. Since I prerecord for my long-term plan, I will add my feedback from watching AI vs AI games in Beyond All Reason. What needs to improve? AI competence. When you watch the videos, you can see the AI playing passively. They have a Kampfgruppe big enough to storm the enemy base and destroy; instead, they will just run around awkwardly. AI needs much improvement in Schwerpunkt tactics. Also, divert their forces to a threat near their base. I’ve seen AI just send their troops away while their enemies march in almost unopposed. Better reactions to the threats. AI completely stops building air forces. This is a critical error which has been in the game for the longest time. Legion and Cortex have an insanely strong air fortress unit that is more than capable of turning the battle to their advantage, and can easily raid the enemy base with like 5 of those units. Smarter defence building. AI needs to have an awareness of where its enemies might strike. We’ve seen AI building an advanced defence bastion guarding a mountain, instead of their base. Funnily enough, it did not manage to guard anything; its placement was poor. Also, program the AI to build at least one or two construction assistance towers behind those defences, so it can repair them, greatly enhancing the defence capabilities. Also, build plasma shields, or at least build them in your base, and cover your hazardous reactors with them to add a layer of protection, same with cloaking/anti-radar towers. AI should build duplicate factories if they have economy for it. In the late game, we see AI with the maximum amount of resources, and they don’t fully utilise them. The BAR tutorial says it is not efficient to build the factories of the same kind, but here’s a fact: It is better to have 190 Tsar tanks from two factories, compared to 100 Tsar tanks from one factory. AI needs to give a building unit to their deceased allies if they have a stable economy. AI is stupid when playing against AI only. Sometimes, they get taken out early, and you end up with one AI going versus two teams of three AI each. AI needs to share one of their building units and, if possible, one extractor with their fallen allies, so they can rebuild and strike back. Improve Legion performance. I understand Legion is still in the building phase. However, its land and air forces have been finished for at least a year. AI needs more training on playing with Legion, or the units need to be buffed. I think the first option is better at the moment. I probably have more suggestions, but these are the few I came up with right off the bat. Music you occasionally hear is from this artist: Karl Casey | @WhiteBatAudio .
