Lianhu Park, also Lianhu Lake Park, is located on the ruins of the Tang Dynasty palatial estate Gate for Receiving the Mandate of Heaven. The Prince of Qin, Zhu Shuang, in the Ming Dynasty, built a royal garden here. This place, called the "Lotus Pond" since it's an artificially carved lake where many lotuses have been planted, is a great place where urban residents come to relax. The park's northern gate is an elegantly simple example of traditional architecture. The park waters are divided into north and south lakes. The latter is relatively deep and crossable by rowboat, whereas the former is relatively shallow and sown with lotus roots. The "Lotus Courtyard" adjoins the north lake, with varying heights and a lotus pond at its center. Apart from the Cheng Tian Pavilion, which is the main structure of the park, there's a library and a children's playground among others. Thank you for watching.
