Biden calls for assault weapons ban

US President Joe Biden has called for a ban on assault weapons. The president made the demand on Tuesday while speaking about the mass shooting in Boulder, Colorado, that left 10 people dead on Monday. This is the second time in a week that Mr Biden has had to speak out after a mass shooting. “Ten lives have been lost and more families have been shattered by gun violence in the state of Colorado,” Mr Biden said. “Jill and I are devastated and I just can't imagine how the families are feeling, the victims whose futures were stolen from them, from their families, from their loved ones, who now have to struggle to go and to make sense of what happened.”
