UVA Reacts: Martese Johnson

On the evening of Wednesday, March 18, 2015 UVA students and Charlottesville residents held a forum and a direct action protest in reaction to the violent arrest of third year student Martese Johnson by ABC officers. Tensions were high during the direct action, with at least one individual being aggressively detained by Charlottesville Police Officers. After shutting down a number of intersections, demonstrators marched from the Corner down Main Street to the Friendship Court neighborhood, and then ended their march on the steps of the Charlottesville Police Department.
