Turning a replacement odometer backwards

I needed to replace my speedometer, but I wanted to make the dial reading from the replacement odometer match the actual odometer reading for my truck. I was camping at the time that I was working on my truck and had to figure out some way to accomplish what I wanted to do... This is a little part of how I went about it.
