Restoring a WW2 USM3 knife and USM8 scabbard

A friend of mine gave me a USM3 fighting knife to restore. These knifes where used in ww2 and the Korean war. It was fairly badly rusted and missing a handle and guard. I hope I did this historic knife justice. MUSIC BY : Epidemic sound Sidenote: a commenter correctly pointed out the knife is actually a USM3 and the scabbard is a USM8. I apologize for the error.
