Didi oh Didi you are one of a kind. At first we had Derek Jeter and it seemed as if he would never be replaceable. He transformed the franchise forever. Than you came as a complete unknown and took the Yankees world by storm. You showed flashy fielding skills and elite ability at the plate right from the get go. It only took a few minutes to fall in love with a player like you. You always showed heart and hustle and never gave up. Not only that you were the rock for the team when things got hard and down. Your positive attitude and willingness to win helped propel a team that was supposed to be a rebuild team make a deep run in the playoffs. None of us will ever forget the moments and magic you created for us when we needed it. You will forever be a Yankee and a great human because you were bigger than baseball you inspired so many and showed people how to play the game the right way. Good luck Didi.
