Deer eats plover eggs

Sadly I didn't have the game came adjusted to get the nest in view but you can see the mama plover trying to defend her nest. I found this nest in my gravel drive a few weeks ago. When first discovered there were 3 eggs and a 4th a day or two later. Fast forward and found two eggs were missing and one of the remaining two appeared damaged. At that point I was curious about what might have happened to the eggs so set up a game camera The next day, no eggs! I figured a snake had found them previously and returned to finish them off. Very surprised at what I saw.
