Rocket Power Movie Trailer - my first movie trailer drove the Nickelodeon's biggest ratings hit

#rocketpower #nickelodeon #movietrailer It was 2002 when I got the chance to produce my first movie trailer. This is it. And it's the amalgamation of every big movie trailer trope I could muster. I even got the truly great and legendary Don LaFontaine to do the voice-over. My wife (then girlfriend) Lisa, who was also working in Nickelodeon promos with me at the time, is convinced that this is the FIRST "big movie trailer style" promo ever produced for children's television and spawned a new era of crazy bombast in the promos business at both Nick and Disney channel, our arch-rival. That may even be true (though I doubt it). Oh... and the typography in this spot is a mess. No design coherence at all. That was all me (and my flame artist). But it was in keeping with our attempt to feel like a big movie, rather than a promo for a TV movie.
