In this video, I show how a “useless” wild tree can be turned into a productive fruit tree that will produce delicious fruit for decades. I found a wild apple tree that grew on its own from seed and didn’t produce any good fruit. Instead of removing it, I used it as a rootstock. I collected one-year scions from a good fruit variety and grafted them onto the wild tree to redirect its energy into the new branches.
