After an amazing Saint Patrick's Day with highs in the 60s (40s by the lakeshore), temperatures will drop quickly as our next system arrives Thursday. A low pressure system that is bringing severe weather to the south will push along the Ohio River. Since we will be just north of the center of lowest pressure, strong northeast winds will pick up as rain bands spiral around, soaking us for most of the day. Temperatures will slowly drop throughout the day to low 40s, but after sunset we'll head into some 30s. Showers will become widespread from midnight to sunrise, and then continuing throughout the day. There may be some dry pockets at times but it looks like it will rain a majority of the day. On top of that, it will be windy and cold. We'll probably be steady in the 40s all day long (30s by the lakeshore) as strong northeast winds gust above 30 MPH.
