Winter Truck Camping Adventure - Back to Basics Winter Truck Camping Thanks for joining me for another Oregon Winter Back Country Camping adventure. On this overland style car camping adventure I take my Grandpa’s old truck on it’s maiden voyage since all the upgrades from Lolo Overland Outfitters. Its a 21 year old 1999 GMC Sierra truck and this was its first serious back country trip into a remote area of Oregon in probably more than 15 years. Along the way we check out a few historic sites, enjoy some time around the campfire, show you all my camp set up, and just have a great time enjoying the outdoors. I’ve always enjoyed keeping camping simple and in this trip I go back to the way I camped back in the day with a pick up truck, a little bit of gear thrown in the back, and a ground tent. Even a winter truck camping trip can be very comfortable and enjoyable without that much gear.
