UI Stead Family Children's Hospital Kid Captain 2009 - Kyle Roseman

Kyle almost didnt survive birth, suffering severe brain injury and unable to breathe on his own. When his family made the difficult decision to remove the ventilator, he surprised everyone by continuing to breathe and eventually becoming well enough to go home. Unfortunately, a rare genetic disorder will likely shorten his life, but his parents say he is a fighter and they are grateful for the care he receives at UI Childrens Hospital for his many medical complications.
