Body cam video of officer-involved shooting with prosecutor

MOUNT AUBURN, Ohio (Deb Dixon) -- The family of Sam DuBose attended a rally outside UCs Police Department and had some tough questions for the Chief about the fatal shooting of DuBose by a UC Police Officer Sunday, July 19. He stopped DuBose for not having a front license plate. When DuBose wouldnt get out of the car they both started a sort of back and forth opening and closing the door, according to sources. When Officer Ray Tensing lost his balance and the car started to move, he shot DuBose in the head. The family wants to know exactly what happened. A body camera worn by Tensing would perhaps tell them what they want to know. DuBoses 9-year-old son, Samuel, kept asking, Why cant I see it? Why cant I see it? Chief Jason Goodrich told him, I know you do, but the prosecutor says I cant show it to you. The video is now with the Hamilton County Prosecutors Office. Joe Deters will go over evidence and decide whether or not to pursue charges against Tensing. Legally, he cannot use deadly force unless he feels his life, or someone elses life is in danger. DuBose Common Law wife, Abuijah Reid said, It shows me its going in the right direction, incriminating footage, its going in the right direction for justice. She said justice would be murder charges against the police officer. Deters said his office should complete its investigation by August 2015.
