Track 8 from their self-titled debut released in 1979 copyright Inter Global Music. The band was formed in 1975 in Hamilton, Ontario and was heavily influenced by the Ramones, the New York Dolls and punk rock in general but also rockabilly and early rock ’n’ roll artists like Duane Eddy. They were one of the few Canadian punk bands to find national success but later when they finally got the chance to break out internationally with their second album; it didn't happen due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances. The beauty of good punk rock is that there are no dynamics in the music, just balls-to-the-wall energy with the volume turned up to eleven. The lyrics are by no means profound or thought-provoking, they’re just written about the struggles of teenagers everywhere and in any era. Great for parties! Teenage Head rose above the pack because of their musicianship and songwriting. The album achieved Gold status in Canada and has received excellent reviews in retrospect. It's now revered as a classic by true punk rock fans. Written by Frankie (Venom) Kerr, Gord Lewis, Steve Mahon & Nick Stipanitz and produced by Alan Caddy, Stacy Heydon & Jack Morrow.
