We’re getting dressed up and going all out to monroes while we recap the episode and give our review. Firstly though just a quick word from our sponsors and then we’ll get into the breakdown. Now we begin with a record playing and can hear the songs islands in the stream. Sung by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers this is about two people who have an unbreakable bond. Islands in the stream, that it what they are, and theyre able to stand against the current. It pretty much sums up Oz and Francis who are very much them against the world. However I did wonder if that stream was also a play on the drowning that happens with his brothers. Too soon? Well you shouldn’t have put islands in the stream in then. We begin with the needle over the record and this is a motif thats happened throughout the season. Oz has constantly played records when hes been with his mother. Last week it was the glow worm which symbolised the power not being on. Here its supposed to show her and Oz, he jsut has to get his pesky brothers out the way. We can see his penchant for the colour purple and plum as he’s wearing a purple top. His hair is also kind of similar to his SIlver Age Origin Story in The Best of DC 10.
