This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. In december 2014, our TEDxTheHague Salon was all about our regular visitors. We invited them to step up, and share their most positive idea. Ten persons took to the stage, and this is one of them ... Rob Grant was made redundant and saw his life fall apart, just for a moment. Then a friend invited him to a breathtaking cycling tour in the mountains, and life kicked in. Rob is a roaming expat with nomadic intentions constantly on the lookout for his next adventure. Throw in the need for knowledge, new experiences and the desire to share these teachings with everyone who has an open mind! About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
