Today's Reading for Monday January 27, 2020 - Mark 3:22-30

Today's Reading for Monday January 27, 2020 1st Reading, Second Samuel 5:1-7, 10 Responsorial Psalm, Psalms 89:20, 21-22, 25-26 Gospel, Mark 3:22-30 In Mark the scribes from Jerusalem are Jesus’ severest critics. Here they do not deny that Jesus performs successful exorcisms. However, they claim that, as he is himself possessed, it is by demonic power that he casts out other demons. Jesus’ response, pointing to what happens in a divided kingdom or a divided house, is logical and persuasive. Am I always open to the Spirit of God? Lord, help me to distinguish the promptings of the good Spirit from those of the forces of evil.
