By virtue of less load on the spine, it acts as a deload to moving events like yoke, frame, and other carries. With the belt squat being stationary and more controlled it can also be used to correct imbalances or cue someone on the positions needed to be more effective at carry events. The intent of our steps and position on belt squat marches will be directly proportional to its carryover. For application purposes, there are two main ways to use the belt squat march. One can be very specific strengthening in the range around the exact number of steps needed on a carry event one is looking to improve. On the flip side, long-duration carries can be great for conditioning of the hips as well as strengthening with far less taxing loads. Do not be afraid to experiment with anterior loaded weights, a bar on the back as a cue or band resistance to get the most out of the belt squat march. The Belt Squat March is a versatile tool in a strongman's training arsenal. By reducing spinal load, it acts as a deload for heavy moving events like yoke, frame, and other carries, offering a break while still improving strength and conditioning. This exercise is also an effective way to correct imbalances and refine position, both key to improving efficiency in carry events. #beltsquatmarch #strongmantraining #carryevents #yoketraining #framecarries #hipstrength #conditioning #functionaltraining #deloadtraining #strongmanconditioning #mobilitytraining #strengthtraining #powerlifting #posturecorrection #fitnesscoaching #athletedevelopment #strongmanlife #barbelltraining #strengthandconditioning #balanceandstrength #fitnessprogression
