Fuel prices up by Ksh 20 after removal of subsidy

Cost of transport has gone up in most parts of the country as operators hike fares to pass on the rise in fuel prices annouced by the government. The removal of subsidy, which resulted in rise of fuel prices as high as 20 shillings is also likely to push commodity prices up, with manufacturers saying they are computing the effect of the new prices on their production cost, before effecting changes in prices.
