I partnered up with Skybound Games to make a new mini series all about the mobile RPG Summoners War. In each video we will take a look at an aspect of the game and dive into the science behind it. In this video we dive into different colored fire and how to breathe like a dragon. The two colors we produced were neon pink and green. We did this by dissolving lithium from batteries (to make pink) and boric acid (to make green) in 99% pure methanol. Our first build using a plastic tube and a wooden ramp didn’t work out so hot. With the power of YouTube I researched one of my favorite YouTubers Grant Thompson and looked at a build he made called the “Mini Flame Thrower”. His build was genius and worked like a charm! Big shout out to Grant for coming up with that idea! Also, the mini flamethrower worked far better than expected. It threw fire exactly like how I imagine a dragon does!
