Payal Ghosh calls #MeToo movement in India 'false' after accusing Anurag Kashyap of sexual assault

Actress Payal Ghosh, who has filed an FIR against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, accusing him of sexual assault, has now taken to Twitter to call the 2018 #MeToo movement in India 'false'. The movement in India was inspired by a global campaign against sexual harassment and assault wherein women opened up and shared their stories about abuse by men in positions of power. Coming back to Payal's tweet, she said that since all accused got clean chit 'it deems the accuser to be false'. She asked why then were the women who complained in the first place not arrested? In another tweet, the actress compared the women supporting those accused to 'a rapists wife saying that the husband is innocent and can never do this.'
