J-10 take-off emergency! Fire coming out of the fighter from Chinese Air Force flight demo team

Two Chinese J-10 fighters had to abort takeoff due to emergency in the latest Chinese Air Force airshow. They successfully deployed drag parachutes and came to a safe stop. In a photo, fire can be seen coming out of one of the J-10 fighters. It’s very likely a foreign object entered the inlet and caused minor engine fire. Rumor has it that many plastic bags have been flying around in the airfield. A separate video shows another three J-10 fighters took off as planned. In most cases the Chinese Air Force demo team will have 6 J-10 fighters performing routines. Today’s flight demo of the team had to be cancelled. It is worth noting the pilots carried out emergency procedure successfully. No one is hurt. The J-10 seems to be in general OK. This incident proves it is a risky business for anyone to fly a plane. The airshow is run by the Chinese Air Force. It is also the first time the official flight demo team from the Air Force performs in China with the latest J-10CY fighter jet, deployed to the team only a few months ago.
