It also took place in other areas along the Line of Control (LoC). In India, the conflict goes by the name Operation Vijay ('Victory'), which was the military operation codename used in the region. The Indian Air Force collaborated with the Indian Army to expel the Pakistan Army and paramilitary troops from the abandoned Indian positions along the LoC, dubbed Operation Safed Sagar ('White Sea').
