As Ahsoka and Maul stood alone in the throne room, the renegade Sith dismisses the former Jedi’s claims of bringing him to justice. Offering Ahsoka to join him in his quest to defeat Sidious, Ahsoka refuses upon hearing that Anakin was supposed to be the apprentice to the mysterious Sidious, and she ignites her blades. Maul responds by igniting his new double ended lightsaber, and the two engage in a duel that leads to Maul running to the rooftops of Mandalore’s skyline. With Maul’s commandos captured by the 501st Legion, Maul is already on his way to escape, but is met by the persistent Ahsoka. The two duel again, and Maul is able to disarm Ahsoka, and gives her one last chance to join him, but she stubbornly refuses, and turns the tide of the battle in one move, holding Maul in their with the Force. After Ahsoka orders Maul to be captured by the clones, Ahsoka flees following Order 66, and they would have a chance to settle their differences, until they sought knowledge from the Sith Temple on Malachor. But what if Maul had not given one last chance to Ahsoka? What if Maul had Ahsoka on Mandalore?
