I am NOT an electrician. I have circumvent some safety features in this clip. Mercury contamination is a risk when it comes to CFL. If the glass part of the CFL is NOT scattered into many pieces, I believe that it is safe to unscrew the stuck CFL in the socket. I talked to a representative at Lowe's to confirm this. Please make sure the power into the socket is OFF. Do not use a plier to remove the CFL metal base out of the wall socket. I recommend that you use a carrot, stick a piece of carrot in, and twist. If you need to use a plier, make sure that it is insulated from any electrical shock. Please note that I have bypassed some safety features in this video presentation.
