It is said by the great Hungarian-born American mathematician and statistician who made fundamental advances in the areas of mathematical logic, probability theory, statistics, operator theory, ergodic theory, and functional analysis. He was also recognized as a great mathematical expositor. " Polynomial " is the second chapter of both Class 9 and 10. Polynomials are the mathematical expressions . In mathematics, a polynomial is an expression consisting of variables and coefficients, that involves only the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and non-negative integer exponentiation of variables. An example of a polynomial of a single indeterminate x is x² − 4x + 7. Types of polynomials: In general, there are three types of polynomials. They are Monomial, Binomial and Trinomial. Monomial: It is an expression that has one term. Ex: x, y, z, 23, etc. Binomial: It is an expression that has two terms. Ex: 2x+y, x2 – x, etc. Trinomial: It is an expression that has three terms. Ex: x³ – 3x + 10. A polynomial can have any number of terms but not infinite. About the video: Mathematics Class 9th Chapter - 2 (Solution) Polynomials Book - R S Aggarwal In this video, I have solved questions of Exercise - 2A of R S Aggarwal Maths book Class 9. Question Number - 1 In this question, we have to find which expressions are polynomials and hence we have to write degree of the polynomials. x^5 - 2 x^3 + x + √३ In this question, since the given polynomial has not a fractional power nor a negative power, so it is a polynomial. The degree of the polynomial is 5. Other questions of Q. N. are similar questions. Question Number - 2 In this question, we have to identify the given polynomials as constant, linear, quadratic, cubic and quartic polynomials. At first, I want to discuss on quartic polynomials. Quartic Polynomials : These polynomials are also called bi- quadratic polynomials. The general form of a quartic polynomial is : ax⁴+bx³+cx²+dx+e A quartic polynomial is a fourth degree polynomial. These have zero to four real roots; They may have one, two or three extrema. First question : -7+x This a linear polynomial because the maximum power of variable in any term is 1. Question Number - 3 In this question, we have to write the coefficient. First question : write the coefficient of x³ in x+3x²-5x³+x⁴. The coefficient of x³ = - 5 Question Number - 4 In this question, we have to write the degree of the polynomial. Example : y²(y-y³) To find the degree of the above polynomial, we have to simplify the given expression by doing the function of bracket. = y³ - y5 Since the maximum power of variable in any term is 5, therefore the degree of the polynomial is 5. The remaining two question are based on types of polynomials and standard form. As we know the types of polynomials on the basis of terms are : monomials binomials trinomials And on the basis of degree, polynomials are of four types : constant polynomials linear Polynomials quadratic Polynomials cubic Polynomials quartic or quadratic Polynomials. #polynomials #class9Maths #rajeshtutorials #maths Link of Polynomial Introduction : • Playlist Dear students, join me on following social media : TELEGRAM: https://t.me/saanviclasses Jon me on - FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...
