Americans Celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year in Washington, D C

The Chinese New Year Family Day at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. attracted thousands of local residents on Saturday. To celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, visitors watched artists practicing their crafts, which ranged from calligraphy to block printing. Some children were even able to try their hand at crafting lanterns, making paper cutouts and coloring umbrellas, all while learning about Chinese culture.
