Three Australian sparkling wines

Three Australian sparkling wines

This week on The Real Review we’re tasting sparkling wines and Champagnes. Today we’ve got three Australian sparkling wines to taste. We’ve got a non-vintage, vintage and a late disgorged vintage. Three different styles of high quality Australian bubbles. The first one is Howard Park Jeté Méthode Traditionelle Brut. It’s a good drinking wine. It’d go really well with just some simple freshly shucked oysters and a chardonnay dressing with a bit of bread and butter, it’s all you need. The second wine is Pirie Traditional Method Vintage 2017 from Tasmania. It has a clean refreshing aftertaste, and makes you want to have another sip. The recommended dish to serve with it, is octopus terrine. Full wine review: https://www.therealreview.com/wines/2... Matched with Steve Manfredi’s octopus terrine recipe from Good Food: https://www.goodfood.com.au/recipes/o... The third wine is Sittella Late Disgorged Prestige Cuvée Vintage 2009. It’s a very dry, savoury, food-friendly style of sparkling wine, we recommend something quite strong for a food match and it’s a mushroom risotto.
