Serotonin Noise was originally made to capture the sound of serotonin itself, combining ocean waves, rhythmic pulses, and a resonant hum into a calming sleep soundscape ( • Calming Serotonin Noise for Rapid Deep Sle... ). Amazingly I have received so many positive comments and love for that video, that's it's sort of inspired me to take another look at it, and see if it could be improved. As mentioned in the original, serotonin is often called the happiness chemical. It helps stabilise mood, ease anxiety, and support deep, restorative sleep. So when levels are balanced, your mind feels steady, your body relaxes, and rest comes naturally. Well, building on that idea, I’ve introduced a new layer composed of sounds designed to stimulate and aid the release of serotonin in the body, crafted from subneural fields (sub-bass waves and isochronic tones) and elemental resonance (underwater vibration recordings) to subtly align with our brain’s natural rhythms. These deeper frequencies and gentle harmonics are intended to support parasympathetic calm, balance emotional tone, and enhance your body’s ability to let go. And as usual, to create it, I blended the original Serotonin Noise textures (ocean waves, underwater pulses, and soft resonant hums) with warm sub-bass drones and harmonic layers from my MIDI keyboard, plus elongated tactile sounds from fabric brushing and underwater hydrophone recordings. Each element was shaped and balanced to move beneath conscious awareness, gently calming the nervous system while inviting a quiet lift in mood. So if you’ve been feeling tense, low, or unsettled, press play and let Serotonin Noise help restore a bit of balance to your brain, lift your mood and help you get a long, deep, restorative snooze! MADE USING: Original Serotonin Noise layers (ocean waves, underwater heartbeats, resonant hums), modular hydrophones, MIDI keyboard (sub-bass drones, harmonic tones), isochronic tones, elongated fabric scratching (Tangle Teezer)
