Sachin Kumar Atulkar was born on 8 August and hailed from the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. Since his childhood, he was very inspired by the police and so, he wanted to grow up to become an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. Sachin Atulkar’s father, V K Atulkar used to work as the Sub Divisional Officer (S.D.O.) Forest (General) in the Indian Forest Service and his elder brother work for the Indian Army. Thanks to these, he also wanted to enter government service by becoming an IPS. So, from a young age, Sachin Atulkar had the clarity that he needed to prepare for the Civil Services Exam and crack it. So, from a young age, he started preparing for the Civil Services with full focus and persistence. Sachin Atulkar made a plan of the entire Civil Services syllabus and used it to set everyday targets to study. After completing his graduation, Sachin Atulkar cracked the UPSC CSE 2006 in his first attempt and secured a rank of 258. He became an IPS officer at an age of 22 and during that time, he was India’s youngest IPS officer. Sachin Atulkar is a 2007 batch IPS officer and belongs to the Madhya Pradesh cadre. In 2007, Sachin Atulkar was designated as the Commandant of 7th Battalion Police, Bhopal. Later, he was posted in the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh and here, his tenure lasted for three years. Then, Sachin Atulkar got transferred to Sagar, Bundelkhand. In 2010, he became a Superintendent of Police (SP). Later, Sachin Atulkar became the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Ujjain.
