2021 Pikes Peak Hill Climb Parade of Champions Excerpt

Randy Pobst in his 2021 Unplugged Performance Tesla Model S Plaid (Exhibition Class Winner), Robin Shute in his 2018 Wolf GB08 TSC-LT (Overall Winner and Unlimited Class Winner), and Layne Schranz in his 2016 Chevrolet SS all greeting the crowds at the starting line as they make their way back to the pits following the finish of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Race rules dictate that all EVs racing in the hill climb must have a 120dB (minimum) audio warning system to alert spectators of the EVs approach. This was more of a concern when the spectators had more free-reign of the course before the current, contained viewing areas, but the rule has remained. This is the sound you hear at the beginning, emanating from the UP Tesla Model S Plaid.
