Upland bird hunting for pheasants & Erckel's Francolin on opening weekend November 6 & 7 2021. Kauai bird hunting season: First Saturday in November through last Sunday in January. Open hunting days are: Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and State Holidays only, with the exception of Unit L, which is open on Saturdays and Sundays only. Public and Private Land. Public hunting areas include: Units A, B, E, H, I, J and L. NOTE: Hunting Unit J is archery hunting only and firearms are not permitted.
