YAKUZA KIWAMI 2 Start of Chapter 12 - Osaka Castle

Chapter 12 - Osaka Castle The opening cutscenes go into Kiryu's own personal history with the Jingweon Massacre. Then probably one of the better-directed cutscenes in series history happens. You'll have to get Kiryu to Aoi. This time it's HIS life on the line. As before when this happened, avoid people and watch out for thugs on the street. They're posted to intercept you, so instead of heading east on the main Shofukucho drag, may be a better idea head all the way south, then east and around to Aoi. That said, it is possible to dodge the enemies while taking the shortest route. Unless you haven't boosted your Health at all, you should be more or less fine. Kiryu comes to later. Mrs. Sayama hands him a note that was apparently in his jacket, which notifies him of Haruka's kidnapping. Kiryu staggers out, 'cause he gotta save his kid. Don't worry. This wound will have no effect on gameplay. No new Substories pop up in this chapter. Only two new things happened. For one, you can actually go back to Keima and partake in Shogi there. For the second, Beam in Kamurocho, if you've opened it up, will have expanded its selection a bit. When you're ready, head to the Golf Center. Speak to the guy in the suit off to the right and you'll fight him. He's a boss fight, officially, but you've got plenty of furniture around you, so he's really not that difficult. Once he's done, you get called by Kurokawa (remember him?) down to the footpath. Turns out Kurokawa is the one looking to cash in on your bounty. Beat up his goons and him and you'll shake Kurokawa down for the name "Esaki", that mahjong guy from several chapters back, who's in the Acupuncture Clinic. Head down there and you'll find him inside the office. Fight him and he'll spill that Haruka is in Osaka Castle. Head to the nearest taxi and take it there. So, okay, this is probably the goofiest this series ever gets within the story, but here we are. You'll automatically head inside and begin the battle. You'll be facing some pretty odd enemies, but they're not all that difficult, including Kuneida, a guy with a fan who you'll be dealing with multiple times here. Head up the stairs and, before you walk into the combat, search for a little gap in the wall so you can inch to an energy drink and a Demon Blade Myogetsu. Grab it and pocket it. Head back to the main room. Watch out for the spear trap and beat on the two ninja guys, then three more in the next room. Continue up to the third floor. You're in a little maze, but you can easily see the way through if you look at the map. Head to the dead ends to find items and a little more combat. In the southwest corner is a Ninja Dagger if you're interested, and the southeast corner as an Iron Spear. Exit via the east beating up ninja as you go and then head up to the fourth floor. This floor is... a little weird. Grab the gatling gun and shoot down all the guys standing at a distance, but watch out for the two samurai coming up the stairs to your left. The gun is a little unwieldy, but you can use it to clean up most of the area. Defeat all the enemies and the boss will continue to flee. There are a couple of energy drinks in the area, but nothing really cool. Continue up to the fifth floor. You'll fight Kunieda once again and his entourage. He'll call in a second group when his health gets low. Just watch out for the spear traps and continue up the stairs once they're all down. At the top, Sengoku will taunt you and release two... two tigers. Fighting tigers isn't the same as humans. They're low, so high attacks go right over them. You have a bunch of Iron Spears on the wall to use if you wish. Don't be afraid to, as the reach helps you with the tigers. Still, you can punch them and just pocket the spears for later if you want. Regardless, blocking or dodging their attacks is pretty tough, so focus on low attacks and keep moving otherwise if you're having trouble surviving. Finishing them off requires some QTEs, so be ready for them. Kiryu closes this fight fittingly with the famous Komaki Tiger Drop. The chapter ends here.
