This week Adam and Max taste through Wyoming Whiskey. Wyoming Whiskey is the state's first legal distillery, it was started by Brad and Kate Mead Who partnered up with Dave Defazio who then invited Steve Nally. Steve is in the bourbon hall of fame, having spent 33 years at Maker's Mark with about 15 of those years as Master Distiller. Wyoming whiskey came out in December of 2012 with their Single Barrel Bourbon released in November of 2014. The grains for this whiskey are ground fresh every day and their water is sourced from a limestone aquifer 40 miles from the distillery. Although they don't claim a Straight Bourbon Designation, the juice is four years old and aged in 53 Gallen New Oak barrels. The mashbill is 68% Corn 20% Wheat and 12% Malted Barley. They use non GMO crops sourced within 100 miles of the distillery. This makes Wyoming Whiskey a product that is truly sourced in it's particular area without using ingredients from elsewhere. The whiskey is bottled at 88 Proof (44% alcohol an homage to Wyoming being the 44th state in the union) and bottles retail at between 45 and 50 bucks. hope you enjoyed the video! for more information you can find that here: http://www.wyomingwhiskey.com/ if you want to read some of Adam's amazing blog you can find that here: https://www.bottledinbondla.com and of course if you dig outlaw country and want to see Max in person you can do that every Tuesday night here: https://www.thechestnutclubsm.com/
