Russian authorities’ decision to restrict access to Telegram, one of the country’s key popular social media apps, has complicated the communication within the army. Russian servicemen have complained about restriction on Telegram in video addresses posted in social media. “In a single night, we descended to the stone age,” a Russian soldier said in a video, reminding that the military communication had also been complicated by Elon Musk’s decision to switch off Starlink for Russian troops. Another Russian military personnel also addressed the authorities and Russian President Vladimir Putin, asking them not to cut off communication. The man stressed that Telegram platform enables soldiers to exchange information in an operative manner and combat Ukrainian UAVs. The military stressed that the process of the exchange of information was complicated after Telegram was cut off. “The fact that you want to take this instrument away from us, he who sows the wind will reap the whirlwind.
