Iron Dome wards off Israeli casualties

As night fell on Friday, rockets from Gaza continued to be intercepted by the Israel Defence Force's (IDF) Iron Dome anti-missile system. Partially funded by the US, the aerial defence apparatus has played a large part in preventing Israeli fatalities during the strikes. The IDF is purportedly firing precision-guided missiles at Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
