The Kodiak Island community of Old Harbor is amazing and vital with its use of traditional foods, which are literally right outside their door! There are many ways that Alaska Native People prepare their Salmon eggs, which are nutrient-dense and easy to prepare. Old Harbor is an Alutiiq village on Kodiak Island, Alaska approximately 40 air miles from the City of Kodiak on the southeast side of the Island. It is one of the Island's six Alutiiq villages and is primarily inhabited by an Alutiiq population.
