Loved by all the members of Kuch Jaan Lo due to his exceptional reading skills, Faizan Abdullah has a special place among our readers and members. Here Faizan is reading the Magnificent Fasana-e-Ajaib of Mirza Rajab Ali Baig Suroor. Mirza Rajab Ali Baig Suroor was the towering 19th century fiction writer, famous for his magnum opus Fasana-e-Ajaaib. Fasana-e-Ajaib is something more than a literary piece. It is a representation of Lakhnow's art, language and culture. About the significance of Fasana-e-Ajaib, Urdu's famous poet Brij Narayan Chakbast said "At the time of its publication, people of Awadh used to worship such literature". According to Rasheed Hassan Khan of Urdu Department, Delhi University, The language has changed, minds have changed, ways of seeing has changed; with all these explicit transformation in India, the importance and the benchmark of Classical literature has remained same, i.e. Rajab Ali Baig Suroor's Fasana-e-Ajaib. . . . Kuch Jaan Lo! is an organization concerned with the arts and culture of Pakistan. The basic motive of KJL! is to reintroduce our vibrant youth with their own art and culture. Till now we have organized events on different literary personalities like Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Saadat Hassan Manto, Mirza Ghalib, Noon Meem Rashid, Parveen Shakir, Ahmed Faraz and Ismat Chughtai. Apart from these events, we have initiated a series of events called Silsala-e-Parhant (Series of readings), and a reading club called Parhant Kada (Reading Club) in which we invite students and people from various professions to come and read literary pieces of any literary personality of the Indian Sub-continent. In the near future, we aim to bring our regional literature, i.e. Pashto Literature, Baloch Literature and Sindhi Literature, to our followers.
