Mastering Gourmet Vegan Pesto Pizza | Step-by-Step Tutorial & Tricks

Hey there, foodies! Happy Veganuary! In this video I will be teaching you how to make a vegan pesto pizza entirely from scratch, so let's get into it! Ingredients 10 oz White Mushrooms, chopped 1/2 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp White Pepper 1 tsp Onion Powder 1 tsp Garlic Powder 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika 1/4 tsp Cumin 1 Bell Pepper, sliced 1 Medium Red Onion, sliced 1/2 tsp Oregano Pesto~ 1/2 cup Raw Cashews, soaked for 30 minutes in hot water 2 cups Fresh Basil 1 cup Spinach Leaves 4 tbs Nutritional Yeast 6 Garlic Cloves 4 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice 1/4 tsp Salt 8 tbs Soy Milk or Plant Milk 2 tbs Olive Oil Arugula Garnish~ 1 cup Arugula 1 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice 2 tsp Olive Oil Pinch of Salt Fresh Black Pepper to taste Dough~ 2 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour 1 tbs Baking Powder 1 tsp Salt 1 cup Water 1 tbs Olive Oil Balsamic Glaze (Optional) Instructions -Wash and dice up mushrooms and add to a un-greased pan and cook down until majority of the liquid has evaporated, add in seasonings, cook until liquid is completely gone and set aside In the same pan, drizzle in olive oil and sauté sliced onions and bell pepper until translucent -For Pesto Sauce: drain soaked cashews and add to a blender with basil, spinach, garlic, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, salt, olive oil, black pepper and plant milk. Blend until smooth , set to the side -For Dough: Combine flour, baking powder, salt, oil and water together stirring until combined and knead on a flour surface for about 5 minutes. Roll out to the size of your pizza pan. Use a fork to to score the dough and par-bake in a 400º oven for about 10 minutes Remove dough from oven and top with pesto, mushrooms, sautéed onions and peppers, diced seeded tomatoes and bake for another 8-10 minutes For Arugula Garnish: Combine arugula, lemon juice, olive, oil, salt, and black pepper together and allow to wilt Once pizza is out of the oven garnish with arugula and drizzle with balsamic glaze About Me Hi there, I'm Chantel Quailey, and I'm not just a Chef; I'm a culinary artist on a mission.
