2018 Tour of Utah—Stage 1

We are wasting no climbing to new heights in stage 1. The route for stage 1 is presented by Visit Salt Lake. Riders will make the climb up Parowan Canyon to the ski resort town of Brian Head. From there the race moves through the Cedar Breaks National Monument to a climb of 4500 ft over the course of 15 miles to, the highest climb for the week. From there you could say its all downhill, but far from over. The racer ride through Mammoth Creek lava flows, and finish out with 3 circuits around Cedar City and Southern Utah University.
