Miss America 2022: Tips for Successful Content Creation with Fashion Photographer Lindsay Adler

Those of us who are passionate about content creation know that it is not just about ‘getting likes’. It is about sharing our message and our vision with an international audience of like-minded individuals. Social media gives us the ability to bring joy, inspire minds, unite people, and even influence change. Adorama has a mission to support content creators through both gear and education, and through them, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to provide some tips to an extremely influential voice… Miss America! Emma Broyles, Miss America 2022, will have an incredibly important platform to share her mission and message this year. Adorama invited me to share my top tips for successful content creation with this talented woman and to show her my favorite features of the Canon EOS R and RF 24-70mm 2.8 lens. Plus, I had the opportunity to do her very first photoshoot as Miss America! In this video, you get a peek behind the scenes of our shoot, a few thoughts about vision from Emma, plus my tips for successful content creation. 1. Find Your Voice Why are you a content creator and what do you have that is unique to share with the world. Don’t just copy other creators… find your own voice and an audience that shares your passions and values. 2. Be Consistent Create content consistently but don’t burn yourself out! If you set unrealistic expectations you’ll want to give up and give in! 3. Learn Your Gear and New Technology Gear can be a powerful tool to help you do your job… and do it with ease! Learn how to use the gear you have, including new technologies like exposure simulation, face and eye-tracking, and more that will help you film yourself! 4. More Expensive Doesn’t Mean Better Successful content creators may be flashy with all the gear, gadgets, and expensive tools they use to do their job. I promise it isn’t necessary! Do your research, figure out what you need your gear to achieve, and invest in what you NEED. Spending too much money will put you in a bind and add extra unnecessary stress! 5. Learn Lighting Essentials Lighting can be the difference between a video looking ‘thrown together’ or, professional. It can be the difference between something being mediocre or extremely flattering.
