Crochet Halloween Coaster and Tea Cozy | Beginner friendly crochet pattern

Very easy crochet pattern to make wonderful coasters and cup cozies. I am using US crochet terms. Abbreviation chart: CH – CHAIN STITCH ST - STITCH SC – SINGLE CROCHET HDC - HALF DOUBLE CROCHET Picot stitch - single crochet, chain 3 or 4 and single crochet back in the same stitch INC - SC 2 times in the same stitch (or SC2TOG) PATTERN: Coaster: ch 2, SC 8 times in the 2nd ch from hook R1 - SC 2 times in each st R2 - SC 1, INC R3 - SC 2, INC R4 - SC 3, INC R5 - SC 4, INC R6 - SC 5, INC R7 - SC 6, INC R8 - SC 7, INC R9 - SC 8, INC R10 - SC 9, INC join dark grey yarn, SC 10 sts, ch 3 and SC back in the same stitch (picot) fasten yarn, and cut a long length of yarn to be used for sewing the web. Cup cozy: ch 14, HDC in 2nd ch from hook HDC until the end of the row R2 - R39 - HDC in each st join white yarn in a corner from the short sides and SC 13 sts, on the long sides make picots at every 3 sts when reaching the end CH 18 and sc on the other corner to form a big loop, cut yarn and make another big loop on the other side by joining new yarn.
