Today's fluid art video was inspired by the sunset photo we took at Kalaloch on the Olympic Peninsula- the colors are listed in the video. This type pour is an easy technique for beginning artists just pour ribbons of color on the canvas, then you can blow it with a hair dryer, swipe the ribbons, doodle in them, tilt, or whatever you want =) There will usually be negative space in the composition it's not necessary to fill the entire canvas with color. I like blowing out the colors with a hair dryer for the cells and wispy effects but half the fun is just playing around with it to see what works for you! Looking forward to your comments and suggestions! My pouring medium changes a little depending on what kind of result I'm after but I primarily use Floetrol in a 2 parts Floetrol to 1 part paint ratio. I prefer to thin the paint with something more viscous than water and often use Liquitex Pouring Medium if thinning is needed. No silicone or dimethicone is used unless otherwise stated.
