Here are some of the possible causes of this issue: • Accidental use of the timer function • Door not securely closed or a faulty door switch • Faulty thermostat Now, let’s look at the best solutions to try; Ensure the timer was not used unintentionally Restart the heating by feeding new settings to the microwave, taking caution of the timer function. Check the door • Assess the door and ensure it is securely closed. Opening and firmly closing it should do the trick. • If closing the door doesn't fix it, undo its switch assembly and measure the continuity of the switches. Replace the switches if negative results are obtained for the continuity test. Replace the thermostat • Unplug the appliance and remove its thermostat knob. • Unscrew and unmount the upper-back panel. • Unmount the oven thermostat assembly and replace it with a new one, plugging the wires into the new thermostat as they were on the old one. • Complete the replacement by unclipping the old sensing bulb and replacing it with a new one. • Fix the back panel and thermostat control panel in position before re-plugging the appliance.
